If you have a permanent Windows PC based Studio DAW rig with Cubase / Reaper, and MOTU M4, Presonus Quantum, RME UFX Audio interface connected to Studio Monitors - you can just connect a USB cable from Mustang GT/GTX and use the Fender Universal ASIO Driver to record 16 bit audio into your DAW Describe the Mustang GT /GTX USB Audio My only complaints are the Mustang GT /GTX will not work as a USB Audio Output deviceīut on the other hand, with its ASIO MultiClient Driver as USB Audio Input to the DAW !. Or at least I did until I found myself sitting at home waiting for us to get out of lockdown. I still use it for my other band when I don't want to take my Kemper to possibly get jacked up by some drunk idiots in a hole in the wall. I like the GT, and if it had had MIDI control I probably would have made that work. So I just ate it, got a Kemper Stage and am done with it. Then I thought about buying more pedals and a loop switcher, but now I'm looking at the high hundreds in cost and a big lump of crap to lug around. But I really didn't want to spend the time to do that. So I came up with all these fancy ideas like trying to break into the signaling on the footswitch and make my own controller so I could control an offboard pedal at the same time, or just pull the buttons out and then put relays in and run it off another board. Just not reasonable to hit multiple things. But I do primary vocals for the band I was trying to do this in, and it had to happen easily without looking at the same time I was singing. When I'd pop off from those driven channels to clean, I needed some effects so it didn't sound too clean. I got to the point where I had to use two off board drive pedals (the corresponding one in the GT doesn't work well for what I was doing) and was using the internal delays, etc. I'm in the rare disappointed category on this it would have been the first time I would have used MIDI on this amp.
